Winifred Nicolson Gallery

Winifred Nicolson, although subsequently over-shadowed by the fame of her husband Ben, was the leading woman artist in inter-war Britain, her works now being held by major galleries. We were invited to compete in a limited competition (currently postponed) for a small gallery to house her works.

These sketches are preliminary thoughts about how to display the works of an artist who preferred to paint in her house rather than a studio, and whose work frequently depicts views from, and of, domestic interiors.
